Checking Out Comic Arts L.A.

Dec 07, 2015

This past weekend, the 2nd annual Comic Arts LA (CALA), a festival celebrating independent comic artists, took place in Downtown Los Angeles.

We drove down to the fashion district to Think Tank Gallery to check it out.  Being only the 2nd annual festival, we were pleasantly surprised to see such a wide variety of comic artists exhibiting and a really good turn out!  The venue was packed and the booths were as entertaining as the artists were gifted.

Near the entrance was a huge piece of butcher paper encouraging attendees to leave a bit of themselves behind.  Jesse V1TAL required little encouragement to make his mark.

An additional surprise was running into the artistic mind behind the series BoJack Horseman, Lisa Hanawalt! She is currently the production designer/producer of the show, which V1TAL World Creative is often called upon to assist in supplying illustrations for their social media content.

We will definitely be back for the 2016 CALA, most likely bringing our brand Zombie Good Life as an exhibitor.  We’ll keep you posted!
